Two Door Cinema Club

I always love Tuesday, because it's the day new music is released on iTunes. Sometime it's hit or miss, but today it was a new music hit. I found a new band called Two Door Cinema Club. They have a new album out today called Tourist History.

They're from Bangor and Donaghadee, Northern Ireland, and have an Electropop/Indie Rock flavor to their music. They are similar to Delphic and Chew Lips. The album is a great deal for $7.99 and is definitely worth adding to your music collection.

Chilling Out at Work Listening to the Innocence Mission

The nice thing about having a large music library is that I can rediscover artists all over again. Sometimes, I haven't forgotten about them, I'm just taking a break. However, there are times when I've completely forgotten about an amazing band, only to stumble across them all over again.

Today, that happened with the Innocence Mission. Karen Peris' voice is hypnotic. She sings and plays with her husband Don Peris, and together they create one of the most unique folk sounds I've ever heard. Their melodic talent is helping me work through this Monday

Paul Oakenfold in Vegas right now!

At Affiliate Summit, I got to see Paul Oakenfold at the Rain nightclub in the Palms. buy.at reserved the entire exclusive top floor, which gave us an incredible view of the club. Even cooler, I could look over the edge and Oakenfold was right below me. Very cool!

Pants on the Ground by Neil Young

Larry Pratt sang a hilarious song called Pants on the Ground for an American Idol Season 9 audition in Atlanta, GA. Left alone, it was funny, but the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show took it to another level of funny. They had Neil Young sing it, and it's both hilarious and well done.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, that's not really Neil Young...it's Jimmy Fallon.

I'm pretty excited about seeing David Bazan again live. He'll be playing at Exit/In on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. If you're unfamiliar with David Bazan, you may know him from his band Pedro the Lion.

I found a live set of David Bazan to hold me over until March. I consolidated the performance into one download in case you're interested. It's in a zip file and the audio format is AAC (iTunes and iPod compatible).
